Terrycloth Fabric

Terrycloth is a pile fabric with uncut loops on both sides. Terrycloth (also terry or terry cloth) has traditionally been used to make bath towels and bath robes, but here at Harts Fabric, we can think of lots of other uses for this yummy fabric! (How about bed covers or head and wrist bands for the athlete in your life?)

Introduced in the late 1800's, Terrycloth is super absorbant and comfortable, which is why all the expensive hotels leave lush terrycloth robes for the best guests. (You won't have to pay the high price of an expensive hotel when you make one with our fabric!) Beach jackets and throws are popular around here. Our terrycloth fabric is 100% cotton and 100% warm and snuggly fun!

Tips: Terrycloth shrinks. Buy a little extra and wash terrycloth at least twice before you start your project. Terrycloth does not require interfacing. Use a steam iron on cotton setting when pressing. Bind edges with double-fold bias tape.
