    (Kids) Nov. 24th 10am-12:30pm

    This is the basic introductory kids class at Harts. In this class you will learn proper use of a sewing machine, including threading, filling a bobbin, etc. Proper pinning for sewing, french seams, corners, and more. You will end up with a beautiful pillowcase you can use on your bed. Children must be at least 8 years old and have a genuine interest in learning to sew. Supplies Needed: 3/4 yd cotton, 1/4 yd complementing cotton, thread, pins, scissors, marking tool.

    Kids/Teens Lined Bag-Level 2

    (Kids) Nov. 24th 3pm-5:30pm

    This is the Level 2 kids class at Harts. Students should have sewing machine knowledge, be able to thread their machine, wind a bobbin and understand the importance of accurate seam allowances.We will briefly review the use of a sewing machine, including threading, filling a bobbin, etc. Students will end up with a functional tote bag. Children must be at least 8 years old and have a genuine interest in learning to sew. Supplies Needed: 1/2 yd cotton, 1/2 yd complementing cotton for lining, 1 yard webbing, thread, pins, scissors, marking tool.

    Gift Making Sewing with Knits-Infinity Scarves- Level 2

    (Adult) Dec. 5, 10am – 1pm

     Come learn to sew with knits and create some great gifts in the process.  In this class we will make 2 knit infinity scarves or as many as time permits.  Your scarves may mix different knit patterns if you like but just be sure the knits you want to put together have a similar stretch. 

    Supplies: each scarf will take 2/3 yd knit fabric.  Please bring enough fabric to make 2 scarves.  Also bring matching thread, basic sewing supplies and I recommend a ball point/jersey needle for the project.
