Closet Core Sienna Maker's Jacket

Inspired by vintage French workwear, the team at Closet Case set out to create a chic piece of outerwear that could transition from work to play. Loaded with interesting details and roomy pockets to carry all manner of tools, their resulting Sienna Maker's Jacket functions both as stylish outerwear and a hard-wearing practical layer for use inside the studio, with the appeal of a lab coat/ mechanic’s jacket/ and housecoat all in one!

With a slightly dropped shoulder, Sienna features a crisp notched collar which can be worn buttoned at the neck with an optional snap button. The jacket is meant to be somewhat roomy, with enough ease through the back, shoulders and arms to be easily layered over sweaters and other winter wear. There are three lengths provided: mid-thigh (View A), upper thigh (View B), and cropped jacket (View C). It is unlined and finished with durable seams — no serger needed!

Fastened with D rings or a belt slider, the waist-cinching belt of Views A & B can be easily worn open or closed by looping the belt in either direction; you can also omit the belt for looser, open-front variation. While the double-breasted Views A and B are inspired by a trench and lab coat hybrid, View C is a chore jacket with a slightly more utilitarian feel. It features a front placket and interesting back vent that are fastened with buttons — their military-styled sample has us wanting to make an adorable nautical variation for ourselves!

Our favorite thing about Sienna is all the pockets! Views A & B feature deep hip pockets and a hidden breast pocket, while View C features three patch pockets on the front plus a unique pocket on the sleeves, which can also be added to View A or B! There's tons of ways to customize and make this jacket totally your own, from topstitching and embroidery to quilting, patching, refashioning and more.
